At a very young age my mom taught me how to take care of my skin, she always told my sister and me how important it is to wash your face and she always bought us the best products. It just stuck with me I guess. When I was finally of age to work, I always had a job in the beauty industry working at cosmetic counters. As much as l loved makeup, it was the skincare products that excited me more. I decided to go to esthetics school in 2000. It's been such an inspiring journey since. I’ve met so many great and knowledgeable humans along the way in this industry. I met Sean, who is not only my business partner but my bestie. And most importantly, I get to help people feel great about themselves.

I’ve always wanted to get into Medical Aesthetics ever since I can remember, but it’s a tough industry to get into. After practicing Primary Care for the under/uninsured in the Kansas City Metro area for a couple years as a nurse practitioner, I was able to breakthrough. In 2015, I joined a surgical organization where I was the lead nurse practitioner for the facial plastic surgery division. Working there provided me the foundation to my injection career. In 2017, I left this surgical organization and started working in a medical spa where I soon became the Lead Injector. It was at this medical spa that I met Nikky. After working together for a year we decided to open up Face KC Medical Spa in February of 2019. I am now a Master Injector who focuses primarily on injectables and I wouldn’t change a thing! It’s a wonderful feeling to be a business owner, but an even better feeling because I’m doing what I’ve always wanted to do-Medical Aesthetics.

It is the Kansas City Metropolitan Area's most populated city and historic heart. It is located at the Kansas-Missouri boundary and has a total population of 2,192,000. The majority of the city is located in Jackson County. However, portions extend into Clay, Cass and Platte counties. Kansas City was originally established in 1830s as a Missouri River port. It is located at the confluence to the Kansas River from the west. On June 1, 1850, Kansas became a city. Soon thereafter, Kansas Territory was formed. There was confusion between them, so the name Kansas City was given to distinguish them.

Sitting on Missouri's western boundary with Kansas, with Downtown near the confluence of the Kansas and Missouri Rivers, the city encompasses about 319.03 square miles (826.3 km2), making it the 23rd largest city by total area in the United States. It is the county seat of Jackson County and a major suburb of Independence. Blue Springs and Lee's Summit (Missouri) are two other major suburbs. Kansas' Overland Park, Olathe, Kansas City and Kansas City, Kansas are also nearby.

The city is divided into several neighborhoods: the River Market District in north, the 18th and Vine Districts in east, and Country Club Plaza south. Kansas City jazz, theater that was at the heart of the Vaudevillian Orpheum Circuit in 1920s, the Chiefs-and Royals sports franchises and Kansas City-style BBQ, Kansas City Strip Steak and craft breweries are some of its most celebrated cultural traditions. Overland Park Overland Park is Kansas' second-most populous municipality. It is located in Johnson County and is the second-most populous Kansas City metro area city. The city's population was 197,238 at the 2020 census. The Sprint World Headquarters Campus used to be located in the city until T-Mobile merged with it in 2020.

Overland Park's roots can be traced back to 1905 when William B. Strang Jr., its founder, arrived to plan subdivisions along an old military road, which became the city’s main thoroughfare. Strang built large portions that would eventually become Overland Park.

On May 20, 1960 Overland Park was officially incorporated as a "city of first class", with a population of 28,085. The next decade was just like the success of many other suburb cities across the United States. It was only thirty years later that the population had almost quadrupled, to 111,790 by 1990. Although it slows down a bit, the population grew nearly three decades later to 173,250 according to the 2010 census. After passing Kansas City in the 2000s, Overland Park became the second-largest city in the state.

Sarah Skillett, RN, BSN received her nursing degree in 1998 from St. Luke’s School of Nursing. She began her career as an Aesthetic Nurse Specialist in 2000, and is one of the Midwest’s most respected and talented nurse injectors, who is passionate about her love for aesthetics. In 2003 she was the recipient of the Greater Kansas City Rookie Nurse of the Year award and in 2008 was honored as the Outstanding Alumni from the Newman Division of Nursing at Emporia State University.
